Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Calories Wise website and the ordering of meals for delivery across Oxford and Oxfordshire. By placing an order, creating an account, or otherwise using this site, you agree to these terms. Calories Wise is operated in Oxford, England — if anything here is unclear, contact us at info@calorieswise.co.uk.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy, which we accept when your payment is confirmed — that's the point a contract is formed between us. Orders are subject to meal and delivery-zone availability. We'll email you a confirmation once payment goes through; if we can't fulfil an order for any reason, we'll contact you and issue a full refund.

Pricing and payment

All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable. The price shown at checkout — including any delivery fee for your postcode — is the price you'll be charged. Payment is taken securely via Stripe at the time of ordering; we reserve the right to update menu prices and delivery fees at any time, which won't affect orders already placed.

Delivery

We currently offer next-day delivery only. Delivery is free across Oxford City (OX1–OX4); a delivery fee applies to the rest of Oxfordshire, shown at checkout based on your postcode. Delivery windows are estimates and may occasionally vary due to demand, weather, or circumstances outside our control. We only deliver to the postcodes listed on our delivery page.

Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel or amend an order free of charge any time before it enters preparation — contact us as soon as possible and we'll sort it out. Because our meals are fresh, made to order and perishable, once an order has entered preparation or been dispatched we're not able to offer a refund except where the meal arrives faulty, incorrect, or not as described, in which case contact us and we'll put it right or refund you. This doesn't affect your other statutory rights as a consumer.

Subscriptions

Recurring subscription orders are billed automatically via Stripe on the frequency you choose at sign-up. You can pause, resume, or cancel a subscription at any time from your account — cancelling stops all future billing, and you won't be charged again once it's cancelled.

Accounts

If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for any activity under your account. Let us know straight away if you think your account has been accessed without your permission.

Allergens and dietary information

Every meal's ingredients and allergen information is listed on its meal page and on our allergen information page, and printed on packaging. Our kitchen prepares food alongside common allergens including gluten, dairy, soya, egg, nuts and sesame. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please check carefully before ordering, or contact us directly with any questions. All meals on our menu are halal.

Our liability

We aim to deliver a great, reliable service, but to the fullest extent permitted by law we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site or your order. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our service or the law. The current version will always be posted on this page with its last-updated date above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
